BIKE WEEK

Bike Week 2013:
Bike Week
http://www.bikeweek.org.uk/

Tibbet’s Ride will depart at 12pm on the 23rd of June 2013 from The Telegraph Pub (SW15 3TU).  Participation is free and everyone’s welcome!

To encourage new riders, the route is split into the following three sections:

• 2 mile route:  Short ride, for younger accompanied kids.  The furthest point on this route is the Wimbledon Windmill.

• 5 mile route:  Mid-level ride, crosses one internal-road intersection beside the Wimbledon Windmill.  This is the one to go for if you are 9-12 years old, haven’t ridden in a while, or have a child-seat strapped onto your bike.

• 14 mile route:  Full ride.  Recommended for seasoned riders & ambitious novices alike!

Faster riders will leave first to ensure that younger and less confident riders can set their own pace.  No map reading is required.

Riders are advised to bring bikes suitable for riding on ‘light trails’, the majority of which are hard-packed dirt.  Road racing bikes aren’t advised, as there are a few places where the route passes exposed tree roots & gravel.  Overall, it’s a pretty gentle session & even a novice can complete the full distance in a couple of hours.

The ride is unsupervised and participants do so at their own risk.

To join Tibbet’s Ride, e-mail us with your individual/group details.  If you have any questions, just ask!
